Save on your printer's cartridge

I bought a new all in one Canon printer MP198 couple of months ago. The ink ran out really fast.

When I went to my local computer store, I was shocked to find out that the price of one black original canon cartridge cost around $30! The colour one cost even more at $35! Total cost is about $65!!!

I am not going to fork out so much just for printer's cartridge. I can easily top up another $30 to pay for a brand new printer. It is just not worth it to buy original cartridges.

So I went to my favorite store at Sim Lim Square and bought compatible black and colour cartridges. The brand is Ink Station and the print quality is comparable to the original.

And most important of all, the cost is about $20 for both the colour and black cartridges. And I can print 3 times more that the original cartridges!

Movie tickets savings

It has been a while since I update this blog. Anyway I have good news for movie fans.

You can now get movie ticket for only $6 from Monday to Thursday at Cathay cinemas using NETS.

New movies are always out on Thursday so it will be a great money saving to watch it on Thursday after your work than watching it on weekends where you have to pay $10 bucks!

Anyway if you prefer to watch on weekends, you can always use your Safra card to book for Golden village movie tickets for just $8 compare to the usual of $10.

If you have UOB or OCBC credit card, you only need to pay $8 on Friday and weekends.

Reduce credit card debts

Let's say you have 3 credit cards and you own each of them $500. You can consolidate all your credit cards bill into one credit card. Of course you have to choose the bank which offers you the lowest interest rate. I recently got one promotion call from DBS which offers 2.5% per yearfor 6 months.

The normal credit card charge an interest of 24% per year. You bill of $1500 will incur an interest of $30 a month. So if you take up the DBS offer, the interest is about $3 a month only and you got to save $27 every month!
